Image of Carlos/Ishikawa, London with art exhibition review by Drenched Co.

Middleton is a satirical poet
going beyond simple appearances
with Frieze Tents,
and Brechtian theatre. - Drenched Co

Comment: " I first knew Stuart Middleton as a promising graduate artist in UK from the Catlin Guide 2010 catalogue. His work demands total immersion. I understand him as an affiliate of New Objectivity and thus as a kind of caricaturist or one with compositional principles that blend reality and art. In 'the gonks' I see him applying his ideas to architecture and writing. - Raj

Key: See the verist subgroup in the Neue Sachlichkeit movement.
